Rent can refer to:
  • In everyday speech, a payment made for the temporary use of something owned by someone else. For example, renting is a form of housing tenure where the person who lives in the house is a tenant paying rent to a landlord who owns it.
  • Economic rent -- in economics, a payment to a factor of production in excess of that which is needed to keep it employed in its current use
  • Rent (musical) -- a musical
