Metamodel
The metamodelNeuro-linguistic Programming ismodel(primarily) linguistic models that people have.The metamodelespecially concernedeliminatingflawsthose models. Ininitial formulation ofmetamodel,flawscategorized intofollowing general groups:
- deletions, e.g. A bike was stolen --agent has been deleted.
- distortions, e.g. You have totally ruined my bike!!! -- distorted if there's onlyminor scratch.
- generalizations, e.g. Every time I lend you anythingcomes back broken -- generalized over all instances.
The metamodel was initially developed by Richard BandlerJohn Grinder1975has since been extendedrevised e.g. by L. Michael Hall. Its roots can be traced back toworkAlfred Korzybskieven further tonominalistic traditionWilliamOckham.
An effort unrelated by origin but going insame directionimproving claritycommunication isconstructed language Loglan (and it's close cousin, Lojban).
