Kerosene

Kerosene or paraffin iscolourless, thin, flammable liquid. A hydrocarbon mix, itobtained fromfractional distillationoil at 150°C275°C (the C12C15 range). At one timewas widely usedlamps butnow mainly used asfueljet engines. Its usecooking fuelmostly restrictedless developed countries, where itusually less refinedcontains impuritieseven debris. Jet engine fuel, also called avtur,supposedbe high-grade kerosene that produces less smoke.
